The short version
This policy explains how KOE (Kids/Kings on Earth) handles information when you use our website, claim a profile, use the KOE Discord bot, or connect a Discord server. The Terms of Service explain the rules for using KOE.
From Discord, when you use a /koe command:
The KOE bot cannot read messages in your server. It only receives the commands you send to it.
From you, on the claim page:
Public information about traders: To find traders to invite, KOE may note a trader's public handle, the platform it is on, and a link to the public page where we found it. These records are internal only. They are never shown on KOE unless that trader claims their profile.
Technical information: Our hosting providers keep standard request logs, such as IP address, browser type, and the time of a request, to keep the service running and secure. Our website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google when you visit.
Your card shows your display name, tier, niche, bio, and listed handles (and whether each handle is verified). Anyone who can see a KOE card or leaderboard can see these. Your Discord ID, the date you confirmed your age, and your terms acceptance are never shown on your card.
Run /koe optout to hide your card from every server and leaderboard. Run /koe optin to show it again.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only:
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email jdolce@ashte.com from an address you control and include your Discord username so we can find your profile. A trader whose public information we noted can also ask us to remove that record.
Depending on where you live, laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR may give you more rights, such as objecting to certain uses or complaining to a data protection authority. We will honor those rights where they apply, and we will not treat you differently for using them.
KOE's current platform is for adults 18 and older, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Our claim page checks age first and keeps nothing from younger visitors. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Any future KOE youth or education program will only open with verifiable parental consent through an independent verification provider, as required by laws such as the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). It will have its own notice for parents.
We limit who and what can read our database, keep sensitive records out of public reach, store claim links only as hashes, and use encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
Our database is hosted in Canada, and our other providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the version date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you through Discord or on this site before it takes effect.
